New Facilities
The School is now located in newly renovated facilities at 32 West Scribner Ave. DuBois.
These new facilities include features such as street level entrance, grassy play area,
handicapped accessible doorways and rest rooms in the classrooms.
Students and Families
Helping Others
Students and Families participated in the Paint and Play
School Annual Canned Food Drive. This event, conducted in
November takes place in conjunction with classroom activities
reminding the students of how fortunate we all are.
All of the items were given to the Salvation Army, which used
the items to create Christmas Care Packages for local families
in need.
Christmas Family Fun Night
Students invited family and friends to attend this annual event. Special
Guest for the evening was Dr. Stephen Feldbaurer who played his guitar
while singing Holiday music.
Everyone who attended decorated Christmas Cards to be given to local
nursing home residents and community members confined to their homes.
All of the children created a holiday craft to take home or give as a gift.
The evening concluded with Christmas Cookies, milk and juice. Many
families enjoyed this special evening event .

Students have been very busy sharing stories with their families at home,
participating in library time, poetry, riddles, songs, finger plays, and story time in
class. These emergent reader activities encourage language development
and comprehension skills as well as helping to instill a love of reading.
Students are rewarded by Pizza Hut with a certificate for a personal pan pizza.
T-Th 1 PM Class
Paint and Play School's youngest students create their own snacks during
food experience activities. These activities are woven into the curriculum
and a natural part of the learning experience for the class.
Out Door Exercise
Students have enjoyed outdoor exercise even in winter weather !
