| 3 turning 4 Year Old Students Two day a week Class: Tuesday and Thursday 1:00-3:00 Children must be 3 years old by July 1 to be enrolled in this class |
| 4 turning 5 Year Old Students Three day a week Class: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 - 11:30 Two day a week Class: Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 - noon Children must be 4 years old by July 1 to be enrolled in either of these classes |
- Opening - social skills
- Centers - play activities, cognitive games, art
experiences - Language Arts - comprehension, listeningand self
expression skills through group story time and/or
library time - Music Movement - large and small motor skills,
singing - Circle Time - large group lessons which explore
colors, shapes, holiday themes, community workers,
personal health, safety, and nutrition - Snack - taste new foods and explore cooking
- Opening - recognizing and locating names; using
calendar to learn months, days, seasons, numbers - Centers - play activities, cognitive games, art experiences
- Snack - taste new foods and explore cooking
- Language Arts - listening, comprehension, and self-
expression skills - Music Movement - large and small motor skills, singing
- Circle Time - Large group lessons
| 5 Year Old Students Three day a week class: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:00 - 3:00 Children must be 5 years old by October 31 to be enrolled in this class |
- Opening - hands-on activities which develop mathematic, literacy and/or science skills
- Centers - two to five learning centers and/or self-directed activity
- Snack
- Language Arts - listening, comprehension, and self-expression skills
- Music Movement - large and small motor skills, singing
